Universal Human Rights

“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”

So says the The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, published by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 10, 1948. This month is recognized as Universal Human Rights Month, and we’ve got four quick ideas on how to show your support for the rights of your employees every day.

  • Get Social– Update your social media pages to show that you support universal human rights.
  • Get Educated– Recommend podcasts related to your rights and freedoms on a mindfulness app like WalkMyMind.
  • Make Space– Create an expression wall. Encourage employees to write, draw, or create whatever human rights means to you.
  • Make Swag– Donate to a charity that supports human rights for all by picking up a supportive t-shirt, sticker, or patch.
